NWFS Programs

Youth character and abstinence education programs focus on skill-building, boundary setting, and an understanding of healthful behaviors and relationships. These programs encourage students to identify goals and positive traits in themselves and their relationships. They also seek to educate and encourage youth to make healthy decisions regarding their education, future, and physical and emotional health. The success of these programs is resulting in more and more young people saying “yes” to the freedom of abstinence and “yes” to developing true friendships.

Northwest Family Services has been involved in youth education for almost 20 years. The FACTS curriculum has been proven effective and is used in school systems nationwide. NWFS continues to grow and to expand its services. Currently, we offer many resources for abstinence education:

  • Peer enacted dramas
  • Curricula
  • In-class presentations
  • Community education
  • Peer leader training
  • Teacher training and online course
  • Parent education
