NWFS Programs

Assembly Dramas

In addition to small, classroom presentations, NWFS provides its prevention message through our school and community assembly presentations: our peer-enacted dramas. Two English-speaking dramas, one for middle school audiences (Promises) and one for high school audiences (Truth or Consequences), deal with the topics of abstinence and teen relationships. The Spanish speaking drama (Encuentros) and vignettes also include information on other preventive education, including messages about the dangers of gang involvement and drug and alcohol abuse. The dramas receive rave reviews from the thousands of middle school and high school students who have viewed them.

Key Benefits:

  • Highly effective
  • Peer-to-peer
  • Teacher-friendly
  • Interactive, relevant, and fun

These dramas are funded through federal grants, and are medically accurate and religiously neutral.
